Add Scoring
Personally, I prefer games in which your goal is to get to the end versus games in which your primary objective is to achieve a high score. I prefer get to the end games because they often have a more complex story line that causes the player to invest himself in the game, while games oriented around high score are usually simple and adolescent mini-games. A game composed of both of these objectives would be optimal, making the best of both worlds.

I prefer certain games to have each type of scoring, but I do agree with your reasoning for wishing that a game has both types of scoring. As a general rule I prefer most games to have a goal to get to the end; however, I prefer most number based games to be high score games.
