My back story is : You begin your life as one of the most basic life forms, a primary consumer. Your goal is to survive this level by collecting food so that you can mature enough to find a mate. All this must be done while avoiding the enemy, a member of the next superior level of the food chain. Once you complete this you will level up to the next level in the food chain and become your previous enemy.
The player has all the characteristics of a true animal. He is stealthy, agile, and cautious. He must put these skills to use in order to collect resources too become strong enough to mate-- all while avoiding enemies/predators. Through this I want players of my game to under stand that every animal in the wild has its own unique way of survival and that members of each trophic level contain have their own certain special characteristics.
This is a fun game idea. It'll be a little weird to become the enemy that you were previously avoiding, but it works to give the players a true sense of how animals in each trophic level behave. Where did you come up with this idea?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were able to grasp what I was saying about becoming your previous enemy. I came up with the idea after a lot of trial and error. I knew I wanted to create a game that focused around ecology and from there I simply narrowed down my ideas and formed them into one central thought.
