Move Player With Game Loop

Allowing my player to move via game loop gave me the idea to allow each player to have one special camouflaging ability. For example, I could allow my mouse to hide in a hole or allow my my snake to crawl under a rock. I would only allow the player to do this only once, creating a sort of extra life. This added ability will allow the player to mess up once without repercussion, further allowing them to develop their game play strategy. I have no idea whatsoever as to how I would accomplish this with coding, I just assume it's possible.

  1. That sounds like a really neat idea, and I think it would make your game much more challenging. It might also add to the educational benefit because when your player uses their camouflaging ability you might take the time to inform them about how in nature certain animals have certain abilities that make them better able to adapt to and survive in their environments.

    1. I never even thought about using the time allotted to the player for camouflaging as a way to sneak in some educational commentary. Thank you for this grand idea, I plan on trying to incorporate it into my game.
